Several Improvements Need To Be Completed On The Engine Cooling System On Certain Lexion 460, Lexion 465, Lexion 480 And Lexion 485 Combines Caterpillar

NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3290" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3290" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Problem

Several improvements need to be completed on the engine cooling system of certain Lexion 460, Lexion 465, Lexion 480 and Lexion 485 Combines. A cover needs to be added to the engine assembly to minimize chaff build-up, a fan to create turbulence needs to be added to improve the cooling system, and the antifreeze needs to be replaced with Caterpillar Extended Life Coolant.

Action Required

- Replace the engine coolant with Caterpillar Extended Life Coolant. Refer to OMM SEBU7119 and SEBU7117, "Cooling System Specifications - Extended Life Coolant" for replacing the engine coolant.

- Complete the attached procedure for installing an engine cover and fan.
