When reporting the repair, use "PS4864" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

A 106-8704 Arc Suppressor (Diode) may have been installed in place of 3E7842 Resistor Assembly on certain PM-565B Cold Planers at the factory. This will not affect normal operation of the machine. Only the start/charge analyzer circuit will be affected.

Rework Procedure
The part is located near the engine starter motor. It is connected to the harness between the starter relay and the starter motor Illustrations 1.
1. Locate the part. Check for part number 3E7842. If part is marked with 1068704, Replace with a 3E7842.
2. If part is not labled with a part number, remove part and test with a multimeter to determine if a diode or a resistor was installed.
3. If part is determined to be a diode, replace with a 3E7842 Resistor.
