Warning Decal Needs To Be Installed On Certain AP-1055B Asphalt Pavers; And On Certain Barber-Greene BG-2455 Asphalt Pavers Manufactured By Caterpillar Caterpillar

NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI1412" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI1412" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Problem

A warning decal needs to be installed under the cover for the 112-4568 Track Tension Takeup Valve on certain AP-1055B Asphalt Pavers; and on certain Barber-Greene BG-2455 Asphalt Pavers manufactured by Caterpillar.

Rework Procedure

1. Remove the cover over the top of the 112-4568 Track Tension Take-up Valve.

NOTE: Remove the existing 1190502 Instruction Film if present.

2. Clean the area directly behind the cover of the tractor main frame.

3. Install a 173-0259 Warning Plate onto the frame. Replace the cover.

4. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the opposite side.
