The first auger quarter segments and the bearing cover (both are located next to the drive housing) are installed to move material under the chain drive housing. This arrangement moves material opposite to that of the remainder of the auger screw assembly (the first quarter auger segment and the bearing cover are reversed mounted in relation to the rest of the auger screw assembly). There is a quarter segment and bearing cover on each side of the drive housing.
