Usage:
All Machines Using Caterpillar Fire Suppression Arrangements
Description of Change: A new pipe nipple is used between the fire suppression valve and gauge. See the illustration. In some applications, machine vibration could cause the former pipe nipple to crack. This could result in the loss of charge pressure in the fire suppression cylinder. The new pipe nipple is stronger and will help prevent cracks.
Adaptable As: The part number for the pipe nipple does not appear in parts books. The former 6V2610 Close Nipple should be replaced with the new 5K5068 Hexagon Pipe Nipple.
