Hydraulic Boring Machine Available{0664}

Usage:

A hydraulic boring machine is available for use in general purpose line boring applications. This machine can be used for reconditioning worn or damaged bores in loader frames, center hitches or scraper hitches. With special fixtures, this machine can be used to recondition bores in track roller frames, links, levers and housings.

The hydraulic boring machine can be used to make machined bores with diameters from 45 to 330 mm (1.8" to 13.0"). Adjustment to the size of the bores can be made with precision because of the fine thread setscrews behind the toolholder.

NOTE: Additional attachments are necessary when bores larger than 165 mm (6.5") are to be machined.

Each boring bar is designed with several square holes. This lets the operator move the tool or toolholder from one position to another without the need to make a change in the setup of the boring machine.

The boring bar can be operated between 0 and 300 rpm in either a forward or reverse direction. The feed rate of this bar when in operation can be controlled by two knobs on the control panel. One knob controls coarse adjustments to the feed rate and the other knob control fine adjustments. The length of the feed stroke is 355 mm (14.0").

The illustration shows the basic components of the hydraulic boring machine. The power unit is available in two different arrangements. The 6V7110 Hydraulic Boring Machine Arrangement has a 220V 60 Hz single phase electric motor. The 6V7137 Hydraulic Boring Machine Arrangment has a 380V 50 Hz three phase electric motor. The motor used in both applications is a 5 HP electric motor. Both arrangements also include a variable displacement piston pump, on oil cooler, a hydraulic oil reservoir and filters and a control panel.

The 6V7922 Accessory Group has all the other necessary components including a hydraulic drive motor, a hydraulic feed cylinder, hoses, bearings, boring bars and tools. The accessory group is also shown in the illustration.

Special Instruction Form SEHS8171 has all the necessary instructions on the setup and operation of the hydraulic boring machine. The operator of this machine should have some machine work and welding experience.
