Use A Magnetic Chuck To Hold Parts On Work Bench{0626}

Usage:

Use of a magnetic chuck to hold cast iron and steel parts on a work bench will save time and make it easier to clean parts.

A flat magnetic chuck gives you a good work surface when installed in the work bench. The chuck shown can hold the largest Caterpillar spacer plate (D348 Engine) easily when it must be buffed or cleaned; it can also hold several smaller parts at one time.

A magnetic chuck is operated with an electromagnetic control. This is a variable control that permits adjustment of the magnetic holding power.

One manufacturer of magnetic chucks is the O. S. Walker Company. Walker "Low Profile Interloc Electromagnetic chucks" have a size range of 254 × 381 mm (10" × 15") (shown) to 1067 × 1524 mm (42" × 60"). They cost U.S. $1195 and up. Prices subject to change without notice.
