Description of Change: One of the plugs in the electronic control group (MAPS Sensor) in the above engines has changed. The improvement calls for a non vented plug to replace the vented plug. The non vented plug prevents moisture from entering the sensor.
NOTE: The electronic sensor group should be kept completely dry in order to operate properly. Changing to the non vented plug may solve problems with the electronic sensor group.
Adaptable To: The 5M-6213 Pipe Plug replaces the former 9X-0423 Plug, adaptable to the above engines back to first production.
NOTE: 1E2200 Pipe Sealant is recommended for use with the 5M-6213 Pipe Plug.
