Two new publications are available that discuss the calibration of temperature and pressure contactors used on the above 3600 Engines. Special Instruction, SEHS9827, "Calibration Of Temperature Contactors Used On 3600 Diesel Engines" and Special Instruction, SEHS9828, "Calibration Of Pressure Contactors Used On 3600 Diesel Engines" refer to temperature and pressure contactors, respectively.
The temperature or pressure setting must be calibrated whenever a replacement contactor is installed. SEHS9827 and SEHS9828 include the procedure to test and calibrate the temperature or pressure range, respectively, of the contactor to specific actuation and deactuation settings. The two Special Instructions also include listings of all temperature or pressure contactors used on the above 3600 Engines and the corresponding replacement contactor part number.
