3412C (3JK) Marine Engines
The 3412C electronically controlled High Performance Marine Engine now has an "Ehp" rating of 1350 horsepower. This rating is for non-revenue producing applications. Port and starboard arrangements are available with a standard or side access cylinder block. These arrangements are compatible with current attachments.
3412C engines, in non-revenue producing vessel applications, rated at 1200, 1250, or 1300 horsepower, can be upgraded to 1350 horsepower by installing a new control group (ratings personality module), heat exchanger group, and additional cover assemblies and gaskets. For complete information, refer to Product News, LEXM7086, "3412C Marine High Performance Propulsion Engine Ehp Rating".
The horsepower setting of the production engines shipped from the factory is held to a close tolerance of ± 1 percent. Field reset capability is also controlled to ± 1 percent. The weight of the engine is not increased, resulting in an outstanding power-to-weight ratio of 2.29 kg/kW (3.78 lb/hp).
This new "Ehp" rating further expands the superior performance, fuel economy, and product reliability already established by the 3412C High Performance Marine Engine.
