Slip In Coupling Used Instead Of Bellows Assembly In Turbocharger Group To Improve Serviceability{1061,1065}

Description of Change: A new slip in coupling is used in the turbocharger groups used on these engines. The new slip in coupling fits between the turbocharger turbine housing exhaust outlet and the exhaust elbow. The new slip in coupling replaces the former bellows assembly. The new coupling requires the use of a new seal group, adapter, and gasket. Turbocharger serviceability is improved when the new slip in coupling is installed in place of the former bellows assembly.

Adaptable To: The illustration and chart identify the new components in the 9Y-4562, 9Y-4563, 9Y-4564, and 9Y-5598 Turbocharger Groups. The new components, when used together, are direct replacements for the former components. The quantity of components identified in the chart are for replacing both bellows assemblies in the turbocharger group. The new components are effective with 3512 (50Y1380) and 3516 (72Z481) Marine Engines.
