Usage:
3408B (6NB),
3412 (7DB) Spark-Ignited Engines
Description of Change: A new seal is used for the spark plug well of the spark-ignited engines listed. The new seal is made of a rubber compound which has a wider temperature range than the former seal. The former seal was also made of a rubber compound but could not withstand the temperature extremes and could deteriorate.

Adaptable To: The part numbers for the improved 7W9700, and 7W9701 Gas Engine Ignition Groups have not changed. The new 7E0079 Seal is a direct replacement for the former 7W4358 Seal (canceled). See the illustration for the typical location of the new seal. This change is effective with 3408B (6NB753), and 3412 (7DB517) Engines and is adaptable to first production.
