Most governor and fuel injection pump groups on 3208 Engines use three governor springs; a low idle spring (inner), a high idle spring (outer), and a dashpot spring. Some earlier pump groups do not have the dashpot feature and some pump groups on generator set engines do not use low idle governor springs. See the parts manual for specific spring application. The chart lists the governor springs and their identifying color codes.
