Description of Change: New jacket water heater groups which use a new thermostat are available as an attachment. The former thermostat assembly used a bracket with two legs to fasten to the heater. The new thermostat assembly uses a bracket which is larger and has four legs to fasten to the heater. This will reduce the vibration level to the electrical contacts of the thermostat which will result in longer service life.

Adaptable To: See the chart for the groups affected by this change. The basic jacket water groups are part of these groups. The new 7E6248 Basic Jacket Water Heater Group (shown) is a direct replacement for the former 7C1709 Basic Jacket Water Heater Group. The new 7E6249 Basic Jacket Water Heater Group is a direct replacement for the former 9Y1347 Basic Jacket Water Heater Group.

The new 7E6251 Thermostat Assembly, part of the basic jacket water groups, is a direct replacement for the former 9Y0678 Thermostat.

This change is adaptable to first production by removing the former thermostat and mounting bracket and installing the new thermostat assembly.
