New Publication Available-"Diesel Fuels And Your Engine"

Usage:

A new publication, "Diesel Fuels and Your Engine" Form SEBD0717, provides an overview of fundamental fuel information. The book contains basic, easy-to-understand explanations of the functions and properties of fuel and how they affect the engine. This publication can be ordered through normal literature channels.

Fuel cost is the largest single operating expense over the life of an engine. This publication provides owners of large engines with a list of alternative fuels which will help reduce escalating costs. To help make intelligent fuel purchases, some of the characteristics of fuels are also listed. This book should be read before a decision is made on the type of fuel to burn. Once the differences between fuels is understood, it will be easier to recognize the consequences of using an incorrect or poor fuel.

A reference list of Caterpillar fuel publications is provided at the end of the book. This list should be used when more detailed information regarding fuel is required.
