System Pressure - Release

Usage:

308 GG8

Procedure for Releasing the System Pressure

Release the hydraulic system pressure before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.

  1. Start the engine and raise the boom until the bucket or the implement is off the ground.

  2. Adjust the position of the bucket or the implement so that the implement is parallel to the ground.

  3. Lower the boom until the bucket or the implement is flat and stable on the ground.

  4. Stop the engine.

  5. Turn the engine start switch to the ON position without starting the engine.

  6. Place the hydraulic activation control lever in the UNLOCKED position.

  7. In order to relieve any pressure that might be present in the pilot system, move the implement control levers and pedals to the FULL STROKE position.

  8. Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position.

  9. Return the hydraulic activation control lever to the LOCKED position.

  10. Slowly loosen the cap on the hydraulic tank and release the pressure.
