Offset Boom Cylinder - Remove and Install

Usage:

Removal Procedure.

  1. Reposition swing and boom (1) until offset boom cylinder is fully extended.

  2. Remove bolt (2) and pin (3).

  3. Remove shims (4).

  4. Move offset boom cylinder (5) away from swing and boom (1).

  5. Retract offset boom cylinder (5) fully.

  6. Cut cable strap (6).

  7. Disconnect harness assemblies (7).

  8. Remove bolts (8).

  9. Remove bolts (9) and panel (10).

  10. Remove bolt (11) and pin (12).

  11. Release the hydraulic system pressure.

  12. Disconnect two hose assemblies (13).

  13. Attach a suitable lifting device (14) and partially remove cylinder (5).

  14. Attach a suitable lifting device (15) and partially remove cylinder (5).

  15. Disconnect grease line (16).

  16. Cut cable strap (17) and remove offset boom cylinder (5).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install offset boom cylinder (5) in the reverse order of removal.
