Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

Illustration 1 shows the wires in the wrong pins.
(1) 155-2269 Connector Plug As
(2) Positive white wire shown in pin 2
(3) Negative black wire shown in pin 1

The battery is not charging on certain generator sets and the charging status light of the solar charger is off. This problem is due to the wiring from the solar array possibly being wired incorrectly to 9X-0352 Connector Receptacle As.

White wire (2) and black wire (3) may be connected to the wrong pin.

Solution

------ WARNING! ------

Do not operate or work on this product unless you have read and understood the instruction and warnings in the relevant Operation and Maintenance Manuals and relevant service literature. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Proper care is your responsibility.

Wiring Check

  1. Locate the 155-2269 Connector Plug As which plugs into 9X-0352 Connector Receptacle As.

  2. Check that the positive white wire (2) from the solar array is connected to pin 1 on the 155-2269 Connector Plug As.

  3. Check that the negative black wire (3) from the solar array is connected to pin 2 on the 155-2269 Connector Plug As.

  4. If, the two wires identified in Step 2, and Step 3 are not in the correct location, switch the locations of the wires.

Verify Battery Charging
