Description Of Change: A new Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) pump connector is now used on certain C7.1 - C18 engine applications. This new connector assembly eliminates DEF pump failures internally that are leading to multiple diagnostic/event codes and engine down time.

Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the engines within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all engines after the listed serial numbers.

The Bosch part number is stamped on the pump, refer to Illustration 3. The Cat^® part number equivalent to the Bosch part number for the pump is given in Table 2.

Note: The change is effective on the PETU and DEF pump serial numbers listed in Table 3.
