  1. Remove the bolts (1) and a grommet (2) (back of cover, not shown). Remove the guard assembly (3).

  2. Remove Rod Assembly (4) by removing the screw (5) and washer (6) from each end.

  3. Disconnect the electrical harness for the sensor (arrow). Remove the four bolts (7) and four hard washers (8). Remove the sensor group (9) with lever assembly (10).

  4. Remove bolts (11) and hard washers (12). Remove plate assembly (13).

  1. Remove the bolts (1) and a grommet (2) (back of cover, not shown). Remove the guard assembly (3).

  2. Remove Rod Assembly (4) by removing the screw (5) and washer (6) from each end.

  3. Disconnect the electrical harness for the sensor (arrow). Remove the four bolts (7) and four hard washers (8). Remove the sensor group (9) with lever assembly (10).

  4. Remove bolts (11) and hard washers (12). Remove plate assembly (13).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rotary position sensor in the reverse order of removal.

Removal Procedure For Boom Rotary Position Sensor

The boom rotary position sensor is found at the base of the boom attachment, where the boom and the machine body meet.

    Remove the rod assembly for the boom section of the front linkage for 374F.
    (1) 309-5695 Rod Assembly
    (2) 8T-4196 Bolt
    (3) 8T-4121 Washer - Hard

  1. Remove Rod Assembly (1) by removing the bolt (2) and washers (3) from each end. (Two washers for each bolt.)

  2. Remove the parts indicated above to release the position sensor.

  3. Remove the bolts (8) and washer (9) to release the mounting plate for the boom position sensor.

  1. Remove the bolts (2) to release the cover plate.

  2. Remove the bolts (4) and washers (5) to release the rod assembly.

    Before removing the sensor, disconnect the electrical connector for the sensor (circled at bottom of illustration).

  3. Remove the strap that secures the electrical connector (9). Remove the bolts (7) and washers (8) that secure the sensor. Remove the sensor (11) and lever assembly (10).

  4. Remove the bolts (12) and washers (13) securing the mounting plate. Remove the mounting plate (14) after the bolts have been removed.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rotary position sensor in the reverse order of removal.
