Description Of Change: The improved oil pump body assembly is more robust.

Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

New Oil Pumps obtained from Reman and/or Caterpillar® between 01 May 2014through 31 December 2015should have pump casting code inspected during an intervention and/or at engine rebuild.

Note: New Oil Pumps 520-2923 and 520-2924 not required to be inspected.

Note: If an oil pump is identified as failing to meet specifications, enter a DSN ticket.
