Crankshaft Positions For Injector Timing And Valve Clearance Settings

Usage:

All 3500 Series Engines

Information on the crankshaft positions needed for injector timing and valve clearance settings was not given for 3516 Engines in the Service Manuals.

A future revision of the Service Manual will have this information. The charts which follow have this information for all 3500 Series Engines, both standard (counterclockwise) and reverse (clockwise) rotation.

Remember that cylinder numbers 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 15 are on the right side when viewed from the flywheel end of the engine. Cylinder numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 are on the left side.
