New Shafts Used In Fuel Injection Control Groups

Usage:

All 3508 And 3512 Engines

Description of Change: New shafts are used in the fuel injection control groups on all 3508 and 3512 Engines. The new shafts have a wall thickness that is two times that of the former shafts. This added wall thickness increases the accuracy of the new shafts. Also, the new shafts are used on both the right hand and the left hand side of the engine. Formerly, different shafts were used on each side.

On the 3512 Engines, a one-piece shaft is now used on each side of the engine. Formerly, these engines used a two-piece shaft on each side of the engine. The new one-piece shaft can be installed faster and more easily than the former two piece shafts.

Adaptable As: The new shafts are direct replacements for the former shafts when used with the other parts shown in the chart.

NOTE: It is our recommendation that new shafts be installed on both sides of the engine at the same time. This is necessary so that the weight balance in the fuel injection control group is correct.
