New Seal And Washer Will Prevent The Flow Of Dirty Fuel Past The Filter

Usage:

3508, 3512 And 3516 Industrial And Generator Set Engines Equipped With A Fuel Filter Change Indicator Group

Description of Change: A new seal and washer are used with the indicator assembly in the fuel filter change indicator group on the above engines. The washer that is used with the new seal will help hold the seal in the correct position. Formerly, a washer was not used with the seal. This permitted the seal to be pinched (twisted) during assembly. This pinched seal would let dirty fuel flow past the filter.

Adaptable As: The new 5P840 Seal and 5P4115 Washer are a direct replacement for the former 3H2388 Seal. See the Illustration for the location of the new parts.
