2 | 4 | 467-0537 Bolt As | Tighten the bolts for a maximum of five times. The reuse includes the retightening after checking the rod bore or bearing clearance. Do not reuse the connecting rod nuts. An overloaded bolt can be detected by threading a new 205-0640 Nut onto the bolt by hand. If the threads are not damaged, the nut will easily reach the end of the bolt thread with light finger pressure. If the nut stops before reaching the end, do not reuse the bolt. |
3 | 4 | 463-9619 Bolt | The 463-9619 Special Bolt As and 463-9626 Nut may be reused if they meet reuse guidelines. An overloaded or damaged bolt can be detected by threading a new 463-9626 nut on the bolt by hand. If the threads are not damaged, the nut will easily reach the end of the bolt thread with light finger pressure. If the nut stops before reaching the end, do not reuse the bolt. |

- | 4 | 205-0640 Nut | 1. Lubricate the bolt threads, bolt shank, and nut seating faces of cap and nut with Bel-Ray Molylube 67700. 2. Tighten all four nuts by hand until the nuts contact the face of the cap. No resistance should be felt that would indicate thread damage or debris in the joint. If the nuts and/or nuts cannot be threaded by hand, the nuts and/or bolts must be replaced. Do not use an impact wrench to install the nuts up to the face of the cap. Note: Nuts (1) and (2) are on the tab side of the connecting rod cap. 3. Sequentially tighten nuts (1) and (4) to 4. Sequentially tighten nuts (2) and (3) to 5. Tighten nuts (1) and (4) sequentially to 6. Tighten nuts (2) and (3) sequentially to 7. Again tighten nuts (1) and (4) sequentially to 8. Again tighten nuts (2) and (3) sequentially to 8. Turn nuts (1) and (4) sequentially to 180 ± 5 degrees. 9. Turn nuts (2) and (3) sequentially to 180 ± 5 degrees. |
