Input Transfer Gears (1) Torque converter housing (2) Flange (Implement, Steering, and Transmission pump) (3) Torque converter (4) Idler gear (5) Drive gear (6) Torque converter shaft |
Oil enters the input transfer gear case through passages to the torque converter and to the shaft for idler gear (4). Oil flows from the torque converter through the torque converter shaft (6) to lube the bearing. The movement of gears (5) and (4) allow for the transfer of oil to other components. All return oil flows to the bottom of the transfer gear case, into the transmission and then to the output transfer.

Oil enters the output transfer gear case through a passage between carrier number six and the transmission output shaft. The transfer gear case is also a reservoir for the transmission circuit. All return oil goes to the bottom of the transfer gear case. The movement of the output transfer gears in the oil causes oil to be thrown on all the components.
