Introduction
The problem that is identified below does have a known permanent solution. Use the solution detailed below to correct the issue.
Problem
Installing a replacement air compressor without cleaning all debris from the air system may result in repeat air compressor failures. Debris from a damaged inlet check valve, or from a previous failure, that remains in the expansion chamber could be introduced into a replacement air compressor causing early failure.
Solution
When replacing an air compressor inspect the inlet check valve for damage. Also, inspect the expansion chamber and clean as required. Ensure that all lines in the air system are free of debris before installing a replacement air compressor.
