XQC1200 and XQC1600 Power Modules Caterpillar

Removal Procedure

1. Isolate the electric power generation set. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Generator Isolating for Maintenance" for the correct procedure.

2. Disconnect power cables (2) from the buss bar.

3. Remove seal (1).

4. Disconnect E857A-BK(Black), E858A-BK(Black), F521-BK(Black), F522-BK(Black), and F523-BK(Black) from terminal block (3).

5. Disconnect E857B-BK(Black), E858B-BK(Black), and E859B-BK(Black) from circuit breaker (4).

6. Disconnect E875-BK(Black) and E876-BK(Black) from circuit breaker (5).

7. Disconnect C220-BK(Black) from ground bar (6).

8. Loosen retainers (7) and remove the wiring harnesses from the cabinet.

9. Disconnect the wiring from overloads (8). Loosen retainers (9) and remove the wiring harnesses from the cabinet.

   Note: Mark wires for reinstallation. Failure to reconnect wires in the correct locations will cause the fans to rotate backwards and may damage the genset.

10. Remove cable straps (12). Disconnect harness assemblies (10) and (11) and position out of the way.

12. Inside the generator, disconnect cables (14). Remove cable straps (15) and remove cables (14) from the generator.

    Note: Cables (14) will be removed with the circuit breaker panel.

13. Remove cover (16).

14. Support circuit breaker panel (17) with a forklift at Locations (X). Remove bolts (18) and use the forklift to remove circuit breaker panel (17).

Installation Procedure

1. Install breaker cabinet (17) in the reverse order of removal.
