Water Pump - Remove and Install

Usage:

XQC1200 N1G

Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooing system until the level of the coolant is below the water temperature regulator housing. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedure.

  2. Remove tube assembly (1). Remove the O-ring seals (not shown).

  3. Disconnect harness assembly (2).

  4. Remove tube clamp (3).

  5. Remove bolts (4) and remove or reposition tube and flange assembly (5). Remove gasket (6).

  6. Remove damper guard (7). Using two people, remove bolts (8) and (10) and remove water pump (9). The weight of water pump (9) is approximately 40 kg (88 lb). Remove the gasket and the O-ring seal (not shown).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install water pump (9) in the reverse order of removal.
