------ WARNING! ------

When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.


  1. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock" for the correct procedure.

  2. Lower the blade to the ground.

  3. Retract the centershift lock pin. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Centershift Lock" for the correct procedure.

  4. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to blade lift arms (1).

  5. Attach a suitable lifting device to centershift cylinder (2). The weight of centershift cylinder (2) is approximately 54 kg (120 lb).

  6. Remove bolts (3) and cap (4).

    Note: Note the shims for installation purposes.

  7. Use the machine to retract the cylinder rod. Lower centershift cylinder (2) to drawbar (5).

  8. Release the system pressure. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "System Pressure - Release".

  9. Attach a suitable lifting device to centershift lock bar (8). The weight of centershift lock bar (8) is approximately 77 kg (170 lb).

  10. Remove bolts (6) and lock (9). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

  11. Remove pin (7). Lower centershift lock bar (8) to the drawbar.

  12. Attach a suitable lifting device to opposite side of centershift lock bar (8).

  13. Remove pin (10) and lower centershift lock bar (8) to the drawbar.

  14. Remove seals (11).

    Note: Note the orientation of seals (11) for assembly purposes.

  15. Use Tooling (B) to remove bearing (12).

  16. Use Tooling (C) to remove bushings (13).
