New recommendations for parameters and update rates to prevent the engine from experiencing abnormal update rate events. Following these recommendations will help keep the communication bus from being overloaded and causing communication issues with the Engine Control Module (ECM).

To prevent the engine from having abnormal update faults, use the following recommendations:

• Staggering the update rates is recommended

• Lower priority parameters should have lower update rates

• Exceeding 30 parameters is not recommended

• Additional parameters may be added if update rates are lowered
