Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the turbocharger.

1. Remove locknuts (1) and exhaust manifold assembly (2). Discard locknuts (1).

2. Remove gaskets (4) and studs (3). Discard gaskets (4).
   Show/hide table

3. Separate manifolds (5) and (7) from manifold (6). Remove studs (8).

Installation Procedure

1. Install exhaust manifold assembly (2) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Apply Tooling (A) to male ends of manifolds (5) and (7).

   2. Apply Tooling (B) to studs (8) and (3). Tighten studs (8) and (3) to a torque of 35 ± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft). The torque tool speed should not exceed 100 RPM.

   3. Install gaskets (4) so that the tabs are down.

   4. Apply Tooling (B) to locknuts (3). Tighten locknuts (3) in the above sequence to a torque of 55 ± 5 N·m (41 ± 4 lb ft).
