Start By:
- Remove the fan drive.
- Remove the water temperature regulator.

Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

- Loosen nuts (6).
- Remove bolts (4) and remove plate assembly (2).

- Remove bolts (7) and remove elbow (8) from hose (10).

- Remove bolts (13), elbow (12), and the hose.

- Reposition bracket (14) and the hose out of the way.

- Remove bolts (19) and inlet cover (18).

- Install water pump (16) in the reverse order of removal.
- Apply Tooling (A) to all the O-rings seals in the installation procedure.
- Tighten clamp (11) to a torque of
14 ± 1 N·m (124 ± 9 lb in) .
