Engine News SEBD9926, 31 January 2014, "A New Pre-Lube System Is Available for Certain 3508 Industrial Engines". Disregard the previous article, the effective engine serial number has been added.

Description of Change: A new pre-lube system is available for certain 3508 Industrial Engines.

Adaptable To: The new 436-0562 Prelubrication Oil Pump Gp and 113-4238 Prelubrication Lines Gp are used to keep the oil system filled to the pressure side of turbochargers. Using the new pre-lube system will prevent the turbochargers from achieving high temperatures at engine start-up. The lower temperatures at start-up ensure that the compressor wheel does not rub the compressor housing.

The new parts listed in Table 2 and Table 2 are adaptable back to first production of the engines listed above.

The new parts are effective with serial numbers 95Y1474-UP.
