3406B Truck Engines Equipped With BrakeSavers

Description of Change: A new seal and improved plate assembly are used in the BrakeSaver water lines group. The plate assembly includes an O-ring groove in which the new seal is installed. The new seal and improved plate assembly will help eliminate leaks.

Adaptable To: The new 8M5249 Seal (1), part of the 4P8766 Plate Assembly and the 4W5184 Water Lines Group, is used in place of the former 6V6640 Gasket Maker and 9N0621 Plate. The improved plate assembly is effective with 3406B. 2EK860, 3ZJ6036 Truck Engines.
The improved 4P8766 Plate Assembly (2) is adaptable to earlier engines. Also, former 9N0621 Plates can be modified to except the new seal. See Illustrations 2 and 3.
