1,1,1-Trichloroethane May Damage Deutsch C-E Electrical Connectors
Usage:
The use of any solvent containing 1,1,1-Trichloroethane or other chlorinated solvent, such as 8T9011 or 4C4079 Cleaner Solvent, may damage some electrical connectors. The solvent can weaken or crack the nonmetallic parts of the connectors. This can result in either of the following.

- - The lock fingers may not retain the pins or sockets, and may pull out of the connector.
- - The nonmetallic body (insulator) may break into pieces.
- - The lock fingers may not retain the pins or sockets, and may pull out of the connector.
The only approved cleaner for electrical connectors is isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol or dry compressed air.
