Improper Orientation of the 8S-5383 Block Used in the Alternator Mounting Group of Certain Marine Engines{1154, 1405, 1405}

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.
Problem
On certain Marine Engines, the 8S-5383 Block in the alternator mounting group can be installed backwards. This improper installation causes the block to foul on the alternator or bend the tie rod, also causing a low torque condition.
