Restriction of Air Inlet and Exhaust
进气阻力
如果进气系统有阻力，发动机性能就会降低。
一段时间后，通过空气滤清器的空气流量受阻。
允许的最高进气阻塞压力为 6.2 kPa (25 in H2O)。
排气阻力
发动机必须有一些排气阻力以避免涡轮增压器损坏。 正常情况下，清洁排放模块（CEM）提供有需要的排气阻力。
偶尔没有 CEM 的情况下，发动机必须在保养模式下操作。 此类操作必须仅限于保养和维修或紧急情况。
如果发动机在没有 CEM 的情况下操作，必须向排气系统施加最小为 10 kPa (1.5 psi) 的背压。
过大的排气阻力还可能会对发动机有害。 总系统最大可允许排气阻力为 16.3 kPa (2.3 psi)。
提供最小背压
为提供 10 kPa (1.5 psi) 的最小背压，在排气弯头或法兰上用螺栓组装一块板。
使用 76 mm (3/8 in) 厚的黑铁板或钢板。
在板中心切割出一道 203 mm (8 in) 的开口。 切割板周边的螺栓孔。
