Follow Recommended Procedure When Adding Oil To Track Rollers And Idlers{4154,4159,4180}

Usage:

All Track-Type Machines

The procedures for adding lube oil given in Undercarriage Reconditioning Bulletin [MP-11 (1/87] Form SEBF8515-02 "Track Roller, Carrier Roller, and Idler Disassembly and Assembly Procedures" should be followed because they will leave sufficient air volume to prevent excessive pressure build-up when the oil reaches operating temperatures. Do NOT use the 5P2420 Lubrication and Test Group or similar pressure lubrication equipment when filling rollers and idlers that have a rubber stopper in the shaft. This type of equipment will overfill the oil reservoir which can cause excessive pressure build-up and result in seal failure when the oil reaches operating temperature.
