Correct Torque For Bolts That Fasten Pulley To Stub Shaft In Radiator Group{1350}

This radiator group contains its own fan and fan drive. It also has a stub shaft and pulley which are mounted directly to the engine. Do not use standard torque to tighten the bolts that fasten the pulley on the stub shaft. See the illustration. If these 1/2" bolts are tightened to the standard torque [100 ± 15 N·m (75 ± 10 lb ft)], the cast pulley may crack at the bolt holes. The correct tightening torque for these bolts is 55 N·m (40 lb ft).
