Stronger Bolt Now Used With Exhaust Manifold {1059,1307}
Usage:
3408 ( 67U ) and 3412 ( 38S ) Industrial Engines
Description of Change: A bolt of a different material and more strength is now used in the turbocharger oil lines groups on 3408 and 3412 Industrial Engines. This bolt is used to hold two sections of the exhaust manifold together. See the illustration. Expansion, caused from the exhaust manifold heat, can cause failure of the bolt formerly used at this location. The new bolt is strong enough to prevent this type of failure.
Adaptable As: The new 5P7128 Bolt is a direct replacement for the 9L7373 Bolt in this application.
