Exhaust Elbow - Remove and Install

Start By:
- Remove the turbochargers.

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Disconnect the exhaust system from exhaust elbow (2).
- Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to exhaust elbow (2). For 3508 Engines and 3512 Engines, the weight of exhaust elbow (2) is approximately
25 kg (55 lb) . For 3516 Engines, the weight of exhaust elbow (2) is approximately45 kg (100 lb) . - Remove bolts (1), if necessary.
- Remove bolts (3) and exhaust elbow (2).
- Remove bolts (5) and bracket (4).

- Install exhaust elbow (2) in the reverse order of removal.
