New Wear Sleeve Available For Alternator Drive Pulley{1400,1405}

Description of Change: A new wear sleeve is available to repair the larger pulley in the alternator mounting groups used on the above machines and engines. The lip-type seal in the front drive housing can cause a groove to be worn into the sealing surface of the alternator drive pulley. The groove could allow oil leakage. The new wear sleeve can be used to repair the pulley so that it can be reused.

Adaptable To: The new 1U7801 Wear Sleeve can be installed on the 7N5626 Pulley in the alternator mounting groups used on the above machines and engines. Special Instruction, Form SMHS6915, provides information about the installation of wear sleeves.
