7231 Marine Transmission
Description of Change: A new inner race and a new outer roller and race assembly are available for the reverse idler gear on 7231 Marine Transmissions. The new bearing assembly has a solid machined bearing separator which is stronger than the separator in the former bearing assembly. The new bearing assembly will provide improved service life.
Location of new bearings on reverse idler gear.
Adaptable As: The new 9W7953 Race (inner) and 9W7954 Race And Roller Assembly (outer) are adaptable as direct replacements for the former 1M1604 Race (inner) and 5P7101 Race and Roller Assembly (outer).
