Note: Before assembly, lubricate the washer face and the threads of the bolts (1).

Use the following procedure to tighten the full nuts (2):

1. Tighten the full nuts to 47 ± 5 N·m (35 ± 4 lb ft).

2. Again, tighten the full nuts to 47 ± 5 N·m (35 ± 4 lb ft).

Note: Lubricate the bearing surfaces and the threads of the bolts (3) with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound.

(4) Torque for four taperlock studs ... 35 ± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft)

Note: Lubricate the inside diameter of the V-band clamps, the bearing surfaces and threads of the nut, with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound.

Use the following procedure to tighten the nuts for the V-band clamps (5):

1. Tighten five nuts to 6.5 ± 2.0 N·m (60 ± 18 lb in).

2. After the engine has been tested, again tighten five nuts to 6.5 ± 2.0 N·m (60 ± 18 lb in).
