To determine the lobe lift, use the procedure that follows:

  1. Measure the height of the camshaft lobe (B) .

  1. Measure the base circle (C) .

  1. Subtract the base circle that is found in Step 2 from the height of the camshaft lobe that is found in Step 1. The difference is the actual camshaft lobe lift.

(4) Tighten the setscrews for the retainer plate for the camshaft to the following torque. ... 11 N·m (8.0 lb ft)
