Threads In Aluminum Housings On Hydraulic Pumps Can Be Damaged, If Bolts That Are Too Short Are Used{5073}
Usage:
The threads in the aluminum housings on hydraulic pumps can be damaged if bolts that are too short are used to fasten the tubes or hoses to the pumps. If a bolt that is too short is installed in a hole, and the correct torque is used, the threads can be stripped (pulled from) the hole. During assembly, be sure to install the correct length bolt in each hole. If the bolts are mixed together, use the maximum length bolt possible that will not make contact with the bottom of the hole.
