An Improved Mounting of the Alternator Belt Guard Is Now Used {7174, 7553}

- C-12 MARINE (S/N: C1Z1-UP; K1M1-UP; NFL1-UP; 9HP1-UP)
Description of Change: The mounting hardware for the composite alternator belt guard that is installed on the compact C12 engines that are listed above has been changed in order to include hard washers at the mounting location. The hard washers create an additional clearance between the belt guard and the dampener of the crankshaft.
Adaptable To: The new 7X-0613 Hard Washers are adaptable to all of the engines that are installed with the 255-0910 Belt Guard Gp and the 273-2628 Belt Guard Gp back to the first production of the above listed engines. The 273-2628 Belt Guard Gp now includes the longer 8T-6912 Bolt in place of the 7X-0818 Bolt.
