Description Of Change: An improved axle pressure relief fitting is now used to improve the axle pinion seal and extend the life of the axle pinion seal.

Adaptable To: The following parts are adaptable to the machines within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all machines after the listed serial numbers.

Pressure relief fitting location

The 8T-0336 Pressure Relief Fitting has been updated to a poppet style valve to reduce internal pressure and extend the life of the axle pinion seal. The updated poppet type pressure relief fitting is a direct replacement for the ball type pressure relief fitting. The part number for both types of the pressure relief fittings remains the same. See illustration 1 for examples of the two types of pressure relief fittings.

Oil vapor escaping may collect around the newer poppet type pressure relief fitting which is to be expected.
