Description Of Change: An improved sealing procedure is now available for the air conditioning cover bolt and boss bolted joints on the machines listed above. The improved process will provide a better seal into the cab and improve the service life of the Conditioner Group.

Adaptable To: The improved sealing process is adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and is effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

Remove the air conditioning cover to get access to the bosses. Only the three bosses, starting on the left-hand side, along the top edge of the air conditioning cover require sealing.
Remove all dirt and old sealant from around the three bosses.
Clean the surface around the bosses with brake cleaner.

Apply Sikaflex^® 255FC^TM Adhesive Black (or commercial equivalent urethane sealant) around all the bosses.
Apply Loctite^® 565^TM Thread Sealant on the bolt threads of the bosses.
Replace the air conditioning cover.
Torque bolts to 4.5 ± 0.5 N·m (40 ± 5 lb in)
